You can set start and due dates manually, or give a task only a duration in working days and chain it through dependencies. vemix then derives the dates automatically from its predecessors, accounting for weekends and holidays. If a predecessor moves, dependent tasks are recalculated.

A task’s progress is derived from effort: booked hours against planned effort. You plan effort per person, while actual effort comes from time tracking. If booked effort exceeds the plan, vemix flags it in colour.

Yes. The Quotes & invoices module is available: a project turns into an invoice from the fixed line items of accepted quotes plus the not-yet-billed time entries up to a cut-off date. Hourly rates and flat-rate prices per task, plus the customer’s CRM link, flow in automatically, and used entries are marked as billed. You need no third-party tool for this.

Selling rates are tied to the person’s function, such as consultant or manager: per project or through a standard rate card, and where needed overridden on the task or the individual time entry. Admins maintain internal cost rates per employee, with a validity period, under Settings → Team; a costing helper suggests a rate, and only the rate is stored, never the salary. By default, only PM admins see costs per employee. When a period is closed, at the latest when it is invoiced, vemix fixes the rates of each time entry. A later rate change therefore doesn’t alter old figures; a period can only be revalued deliberately by an admin, and invoiced entries stay untouched.

No, it is planning. It is based on working-time models, absences and planned hours, not on the working time individual people have booked; booked hours only reduce a task’s remaining effort. Everyone sees themselves, managers see their team, and by default PM admins and PM managers see all employees. Whether someone is on leave or off sick is visible only to those who may also see it in time tracking; everyone else sees “absent”. If your company has a works council, this is an important point.
