Feature · Documents & AI

Documents that file and read themselves.

vemix keeps every document in one place — mounted as a network drive in your file explorer and connected to the cloud — and lets AI do the reading: classify, extract reference numbers and counterparties, recognise clauses and deadlines.

Capabilities

One place for every file

Import, drive and AI recognition work together — from filing to deadline.

Central document store

Every document on contacts, companies, projects and contracts in one tenant-isolated, audit-ready store.

Drive in your file explorer

Mount your store over WebDAV and work from Explorer, Finder or Nautilus — no extra software. Saving writes straight into vemix, so nothing drifts apart.

Cloud connections

Connect Google Drive, OneDrive and SharePoint and pull documents in without copies drifting apart.

Email import

Archive emails via BCC or forwarding; vemix links them to the right contact and deduplicates attachments by SHA-256.

AI document recognition

On upload, AI classifies the document and reads reference number, counterparty and key fields into a review form.

Clause & deadline extraction

For contracts, the AI recognises clauses and deadlines and proposes attaching a letter to the matching existing contract.

Import

Mail in, filed correctly.

Forward or BCC an email to your tenant archive address. vemix matches it to the right contact — creating one if needed — and deduplicates attachments so the same file is never stored twice.

  • BCC and forwarding to a tenant-specific address
  • Automatic contact matching and creation
  • SHA-256 attachment deduplication

AI

Read, not retyped.

Upload a signed document and the AI proposes the metadata: type, reference number, counterparty, clauses and deadlines. You confirm the result, and vemix can attach the document to an existing contract.

  • Classification of document type
  • Extraction of reference number, counterparty, deadlines
  • Matching to an existing contract
The AI proposes — you confirm. Nothing is filed without review.
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Where are documents stored?
In a central, tenant-isolated object store. Each tenant only ever sees its own files, and every change is recorded for an audit trail.
How do I reach my documents from my file explorer?
Through a WebDAV drive. You mount vemix as a network drive using the drive address from your settings — on Windows, macOS and Linux, with no extra software. You sign in with your email address and a device password that you create yourself and can revoke per device; your login password is never stored on the machine. Nothing is copied or reconciled in the background: you work directly on the store, so saving a file in Word creates a new version in vemix immediately. You only ever see the library, projects and CRM records you have permission for in vemix. Cloud connections to Google Drive, OneDrive and SharePoint work alongside it.
What can the AI recognise today?
Today it classifies documents, extracts reference number, counterparty, clauses and deadlines from contracts, and proposes matching a document to an existing contract.
