In a central object store, kept separate for each company. Each company has its own database and only ever sees its own files. Every change is recorded in the audit trail.

Through a WebDAV drive. You mount vemix as a network drive using the drive address from your settings, on Windows, macOS and Linux and with no extra software. You sign in with your email address and a device password that you create yourself and can revoke per device; your login password is never stored on the machine. Nothing is copied or reconciled in the background: you work directly on the store, so saving a file in Word creates a new version in vemix immediately. You only ever see the library, projects and CRM records you have permission for in vemix. Cloud connections to Google Drive, OneDrive and SharePoint work alongside it.

Today it classifies documents, extracts reference number, counterparty, clauses and deadlines from contracts, and proposes matching a document to an existing contract.

With open-weight language models that Scaleway runs in data centres in the EU. The content is neither used to train models nor stored beyond the analysis. Admins can switch off each AI feature individually for the whole workspace in the settings, or connect their own AI model instead.

Data covered by professional secrecy under section 203 of the German Criminal Code (StGB), above all patient data (for example of doctors, dentists or psychotherapists) and client data of professionals bound by secrecy such as lawyers, tax advisers or auditors. vemix does not meet the legal and professional requirements for such data, so do not upload it to vemix or let the AI analyse it. Our terms (AGB) and the data processing agreement say the same.
